What is the WHS Concept?
For mucogingival integration of dental implants It is necessary to ensure the presence of three criteria. We called this treatment approach WHS Soft Tissue Management. W – for Width which means there is a sufficient volume of soft tissues, above the implant platform, around 3-5mm, H – for Height which means there is a sufficient area of the attached gum in the peri-implant area, around 4 mm, and S – for Stability which excludes or minimizes dis- and reconnection of the suprastructure of the dental implant during treatment stages.
